- This is a notice of intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 6.302. The USDA Forest Service, Cherokee National Forest, 2800 North Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN 37312 intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source requirement with Bennett Preservation Engineering, P.C., 17 Lockwood Dr STE 500, CHARLESTON, SC 29401-1190, under the FAR Authority 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for Title I [AT-F1]�[HJ-F2]�[HJ-F3]�AE Services to PROVIDE STRUCTURAL INVESTIGATION, REPORT, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION OF TIMBER AND WOOD-FRAMED STRUCTURES ORIGINALLY CONSTRUCTED BY THE CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORPS.� USE CURRENT BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS WHILE MAINTAINING THE HISTORICAL INTEGRITY BY UTILIZING APPROPRIATE MATERIALS, CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND TECHNIQUES IN THE REPAIR AND MODIFICATION WORK.� EXPERTISE IN THE AREA OF ARCHITECTURAL PRESERVATION AND STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING (SPECIFICALLY TIMBER STRUCTURES) IS DESIRED AT CHEROKEE NATIONAL FOREST, CLEVELAND, TN.� NAICS: 541330 If firms believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a technical capability statement along with business profile to the Point of Contact listed in the announcement within 15 days of this notice.� Any information received will be treated as market research information towards future similar or same requirements.� Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice will not be accepted since the notice is not a request for proposal.� �
