- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to National Quality Forum.� This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP and 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1).� Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of itent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any quotation/response should be e-mailed to the Contract Specialist at ycf1@cdc.gov by 1:00 p.m. on 12/10/2020. STATEMENT OF WORK - Title of Project: Public Community Health Agency Council A.1 Background and Need: The National Quality Forum, is a nonprofit, membership-based organization that is funding in part by Congress and entrusted with important public service responsibility of bringing together various public- and private-sector organizations on how to measure quality in healthcare. NQF has 430 organizational members and in 2014, more than 883 individuals served on more than 46 NQF-convened councils, working groups and partnerships. One of these NQF-convened committees is the Public Community Health Agency Council, on which a CDC/ATSDR employee has served on for over five years. A.2 Project Objective: The Public Community Health Agency Council is one of eight member councils that provide critical input on NQF�s work and also vital to building broad consensus on improving the quality of healthcare in the U.S. Standardized healthcare performance measures help healthcare providers understand whether the care they provided their patients was appropriate, and if not, where to focus their efforts to improve the care they deliver. A.3 Scope of Work: The employee that serves as a member of the Public Community Health Agency Council is doing so on behalf of CDC/ATSDR. The employee will be responsible for voting on elections, consensus developmentprojects and other work that requires a vote from membership. A.4 Technical Requirements: Council participation includes the following: �Review all measure submission forms; �Complete all surveys and evaluations; �Attend scheduled in-person meetings on an annual basis; �Complete measure evaluation by reviewing the comments received on the Draft Report and thenparticipate on the post-comment conference call; �Complete additional measure evaluations by conference call if necessary; �Present measures and lead discussions for the council on conference calls and in meetings. A.5 Fee Schedule: A annual membership fee is due to the National Quality Forum to renew membership for a term fromJanuary 1 to December 31 of the year.
