- NAICS: 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Size Standard: $39.5M This synopsis is for the PN: 88967, �FXD Forensic LAB, Fort Gillem GA . This acquisition is being offered as a Full and Open Competition�and will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract Award. Description of Work: Construct a Forensic Laboratory. Primary facilities include administration areas, laboratory space, facility support area, Covered hardstand (mobile Laboratory area), organizational vehicle parking, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation, mass notification system, and Utility Monitoring and Control System (UMCS) connections. Supporting facilities will include site development, utilities, limited back-up power source, and connections, lighting, paving, parking, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, information systems, landscaping and signage. Heating and air conditioning will be provided by a selfcontained system. Building information systems for this project are unique in nature and not included in the unit cost of the building. Measures in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards will be provided, plus enhanced AT/FP measures. Comprehensive building and furnishings related interior design services are required. Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided. Cyber Security Measures will be incorporated into this project. Sustainability/Energy measures will be provided. Facilities will be designed to a minimum life of 40 years in accordance with DoD's Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02) including energy efficiencies, building envelope and integrated building systems performance. Air Conditioning (Estimated 236 Tons). The work is located in Clayton County, Georgia. Period of Performance: 750 calendar days. Pursuant to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement�(DFARS) 236.204, the magnitude for this project is between $25M and $100M Evaluation Criteria: The contract will be solicited and procured using FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures. Note: This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and is anticipated to be available on or about December 4, 2020. Please note that the bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when issued. No additional media (CDROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Any prospective Offeror must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. After completing SAM registration, interested Contractors and their subcontractors must then register at https://beta.sam.gov in order to obtain solicitation documents, plans and specifications for this solicitation. Contractors that have an existing account should be able to use their existing logins to search for the solicitation number once it is released at https://beta.sam.gov. It is the Offeror's responsibility to check the Internet address provided as necessary for any amendments that may be posted to this solicitation.
