- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source order to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Hudson, NH, to modify marking tags to comply with the latest version of Navy requirements required for all containers and pallets with APKWS guidance sections to be delivered under existing contract N00019-19-D-0016. NAVAIR intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-16-G-0021 for the non-recurring effort to modify the tag markings. This contract action will be issued on a sole-source basis to BAE Systems, the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the APKWS II.�Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. BAE Systems is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of APKWS, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience, and tooling to produce the requirements described herein to satisfy the Government�s requirement.
