Description
Purpose:The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to assess what available alarm monitoring solutions will enable FPS to monitor alarms from anywhere via analog or digital phones, and Internet Protocol (IP). Current State: The MegaCenters are connected via a wide-area network (WAN) and have four (4) separate alarm monitoring systems. The servers comprising these systems are hosted locally at each MegaCenter, and there is a redundant alarm monitoring system for each center that is hosted at one of the other MegaCenters for failover. The data is replicated regularly between centers via the WAN. The MegaCenters monitor incoming alarms via analog and digital phone lines, and Internet and Intranet alarms via (IP). The current system processes alarms in the following alarm industry formats: Contact ID, SIA, DMP, Modem IIE, and Modem 4, using Radionics and Digital Monitoring Products alarm receivers. Desired State: FPS is looking to acquire a centralized, cloud-based alarm monitoring solution with a clientless (web-based) portal that provides the ability to monitor alarms from anywhere. The solution would be capable of monitoring alarms via analog and digital phone lines, and Internet and Intranet alarms via (IP). The solution would be capable of processing alarms in the alarm industry formats and physical receivers mentioned above. Ideally, the solution would have virtual receivers for monitoring IP alarms. Questions: How would you approach the situation described above. Describe the experience that would allow you to be succesful in this endeavor. Also discuss the challenges that you anticipate encountering in the process. What Government agencies or commercial entities have you provided with this type or similar solution? Please decribe the process and provide a point of contact for the customer. How many alarm accounts were monitored? Please attach a capability statement and description of your alarm monitoring solution.
