- The PSNS & IMF hereby gives notice of their intent to award a sole source requirement to Gems Sensors Inc. (Cage Code 04034) located at 1 Cowles Road, Plainville, CT 06062-1107. This is a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.501(a) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). PSNS&IMF has a requirement to perform acquisition of maintenance. �The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to provide all necessary materials and technical representative services necessary to repair, modify and update seven TLI Receiver units, in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. The prospective contractor is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), and holds proprietary rights applicable to this requirement. It is the only authorized U.S. company with access to proprietary information required for this maintenance acquisition. As such, there is no intent to compete this requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Nonetheless, responsible sources who believe that this intent to sole source is in error may submit a capability statement, which, if received within�five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice of intent to award a sole source procurement, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice � is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of response to this announcement. The NAICS code is 336611, Ship Building and Repair and has a size standard of 1,250 employees.
