- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.� This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes � it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.� This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever.� Further, the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Small Boat Product Line (SBPL) is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals.� Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party�s expense.� Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.� If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the BetaSam.gov website.� It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The USCG SFLC SBPL is presenting the attached Statement of Work (SOW) to industry to obtain feedback on whether or not the current SOW is written in the best way to achieve the following: Soliciting and awarding a commercial firm fixed price maintenance (service) contract with one (1) base period of twelve (12) months, and four (4) twelve (12) month option periods, to provide maintenance and repair for the Coast Guard 32 foot Trailorable Port Security Boats (CG 32-TPSB) in accordance with the attached SOW. Interested parties are requested to review the attached document(s) and provide feedback on what foreseeable challenges industry may have in meeting the requirement as it is currently written. Responses should include: Name of Company, Address and DUNS Number. Point of Contact and Phone Number. The respondee�s small business category under the appropriate NAICS code, 336611 (if small business, must identify concern). Target areas of concern, and possible alternative methods to meet the needs of the requirement. Additional questions to address: Does the current SOW suffice for industry to be able to provide a response? Is the NAICS code 336611 the most appropriate code to use for this acquisition? Is the respondee aware of any GSA service contracts that would be able to meet the requirement? Responses to RFI are to be emailed to Kirk Miller, Contract Specialist, at kirk.miller2@uscg.mil no later than 2:00 PM EST on 12/15/2020, with email subject title: 70Z04021I58350B00 (Vendor Name) RFI Response. Q&A To address questions recieved so far: Q: ""Where are the boats located, East or West Coast?"" A: The Boats are located on�the East Coast; however, there is no geographical restriction in the SOW that would proclude an interested vendor from providing a response, or having the opportunity to particpate in this kind of acquisition if a sources sought notice, or solicitation were to follow. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY to obtain feedback pertaining to the SOW of the requirement. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government.� The USCG has not made a commitment to procure any of the items or services discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought.� All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
