- Sole Source Justification NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE THis notice of intnent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, Groton, CT intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source award to Chesapeake Marine Refirgeration Corp to refurbish 3 refrigeration compressors. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: FAR 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 333415 Air-Conditiong Warm AIr Heating equipment and commerical and industrial refrigeration equipment manufacturing; the size standard is 1,250. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by December 11th at 12PM (EST). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence, that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is soley within the discretion of the Government. The Governmnet will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. The manufacturer is Carrier Corporation, and the compressor model number is 5MF30-574-3.�
