Special Announcement � NAO Pier Repairs Industry Day 2020 Solicitation Number W9123621R5016 The Norfolk District, Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified and experienced firms capable of performing repairs to the District�s pier and boat ramp including construction of cathodic protection concrete encasement on existing structural pilings, installation of steel reinforcement and cast-in-place concrete repairs to existing structural piles. The repair project will also include repairs to spalling on concrete boat ramp adjacent to the main pier. Additionally, the Contractor will be required to remove or alter existing work in such a manner as to prevent injury or damage to any portions of the existing work which remain. Repair or replace portions of existing work which have been altered during construction operations to match existing or adjoining work, as approved by the Engineer. At the completion of operations, existing work shall be in a condition equal to or better than that which existed before new work started. The Contractor shall be capable of performing maintenance and repair at either the Contractor's facility or the US Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District. Contractors should be prepared to execute multiple, simultaneous task orders, if required. The Norfolk District is considering award of a Firm Fixed Price effort. There is currently no socioeconomic set-aside, and results of this Industry Day will impact the decisions made by Norfolk District. All socioeconomic groups are encouraged to participate in this Market Research event. This office anticipates award of a contract for these services no later than June 2021. This event is not a marketing opportunity and will not promote upcoming projects. The event will be held at the Norfolk District Waterfield Building located at 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 1:00 PM EST to 3:00 PM EST. The Industry day will start promptly at 1:00 PM EST. The purpose and focus of the event will be to seek maritime construction industry�s input and their questions regarding best practices for the technical execution of the NAO Pier Repairs. Registrants are encouraged to include suggested topics for discussion when registering. ALL Industry day participants must be U.S. citizens, and have valid Identification in order to gain access to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers� facility. Please note that due to COVID-19, social distancing will be strictly enforced, and face masks/coverings will be required to be worn at all times during the Industry Day. This is a non-fee event and seating is limited. Meals will not be served. The Government will not be conducting one-on-one discussions related to any potential contract or on- going work under contract during this event. This announcement is not a contract solicitation, request for proposal of any sort, a promise to issue any future contract, a forum to discuss upcoming work, or a commitment to offer work of any kind on the part of the Government. The Army will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses for marketing efforts.
