Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award to a sole-source contractor. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. Document Reference ID: F3QCCM0321A001 The United States Air Force (USAF) intends to award a sole-source contract to Megaphase LLC. The USAF requires Low Loss Test Cable with the specification below: EMC Low Loss Armored Test Cable Part Number: EMC3-T1T1-360 Quantity: 10 Each NAICS: 334417 PSC: 5999 Size Standard: 1,000 Employees Megaphase LLC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this equipment and has no authorized resellers for these items. These items are commercial in nature. Megaphase LLC has already performed the research & development necessary to ensure this test cable has the salient characteristics and can withstand harsh conditions to ensure proper flight testing. Any other vendor would require significant research and development to provide Low Loss Test Cable identical in form, fit and function with the salient characteristics listed below: The test cable shall have a length of 360 inches with TNC male cables on each end. Test cables shall be finished with a very heavy bronze armor and superior shielding. Cables shall offer 0.23db/ft of insertions loss at 18GHz finished with a heavy bronze armor that offers 300lbs/linear inch of crush resistance and has excellent shielding of -120db. The cable shall have the ability to withstand harsh conditions (this is crucial for testing) while still performing at a low loss.
