See attached questions and answers below. RFQ closes December 14, 2020 @ 2:00 PM CST. Questions and Answers Verifying that contract awardee shall be a true elevator inspection firm that self performs all inspections pertaining to facility. Yes Are you requesting an hourly rate for Reinspection Clins or a total fixed accumulated cost? Total cost for the reinspection The 12.26.2.20 Emergency power operations part of the inspection. This is normally scheduled at a different time. How do we interpret this? We have a separate contract for elevator maintenance and that vendor documents the emergency elevator operations when we run generator tests. During the testing and inspection for this contract, 12.26.2.20 will just be document review. Is this project sales tax exempt? If the project is sales tax exempt can the government provide a sales tax exemption certificate? Yes, Once the award is issued vendor will receive the tax-exempt form if required. (Upon request) Will the Government provide comprehensive written badging requirements for the project if badging is required? Yes, we will. The contractor shall check in upon site arrival and sign in with Police Services. A temporary badge will be given; however, the contractor will not be permitted to have escorting privileges over the course of this contract. Contractor staff shall be escorted by the VA Elevator Maintenance contractor or VA staff. Describe all tasks that may be required for this project as it relates to infectious control? There are no infectious control requirements. Please note, this is a service request, not a project. What is the level of infectious disease control rating for this site? See question 3 Will the government accept the use of the industry leading Procore Project Management software as the primary submittal and data tracking tool for this project? The software is compatible with the VA s networks and is currently in use at many VA locations. Only if the vendor will provide the government a username and password to access. We currently are not set up with ProCore. Does the Government have a contractor currently or previously providing elevator testing & inspection services? If so, please provide the point of contact for this service provider. Contract VA256-16-A-0065 RD3, Inc. Office: 720-457-3311 andrew.n@rd3inc.com Scope Questions: 7. 1.2 Maximum Individual task order amount is $36,000. Can the VA please clarify this statement? Is this the maximum annual cost of the project, or the maximum cost per CLIN item? This is the maximum potential annual cost and should only happen once, during quintennial testing, since those tests are twice the price of a normal test. 8. 12.26.2.20 Emergency power operations This is traditionally not part of an inspection & testing contract. This is normally completed during emergency power testing procedures that are conducted by the facility. This is normally billed as an off-hours hourly cost because there is significant requirement for coordination with the facility. Should this work be included in the contractor s scope? The VA documents Emergency Power Operation during monthly generator tests. The vendor will not need to do this. The vendor will only need to look over the VA s documentation for compliance.
