- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart�12.6 and FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Instructions to offerors (Tailored for quotes under FAR part 13), evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached. The solicitation number is 70Z02921QPMV07100 and issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR 13.004, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR 12.302 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes, but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR 13.004, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR 13.004. Where the word ""offer/offeror� or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to ""quote/quoter� or a derivative of that word. This is a small business set aside, the applicable NAICS is 335312 and small business size standard is 1,250. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Order awarded to the offeror with the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. Lowest price will be evaluated�an award will be made.�Offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management - https://www.sam.gov. USCG Sector New Orleans has a requirement to purchase a generator and transfer switch to include: 1. Remove existing generator and transfer switch. Generator is not to be remove from the worksite as this is the responsibility of the Coast Guard. 2. Install new 20KW generator in the same location as existing unit 3. Install new transfer switch 4. Remove existing �� propane line and install new 1� propane line 5. After installation start and verify proper unit functionality 6. Test unit for proper voltage output 7. Clean work site of all left over debris FAR 52.237-1 -- Site Visit (Apr 1984). Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Date and place of delivery and acceptance is on or before January 09, 2020. Site location will be unavailable to be worked on from Dec 21, 2020 until January 4, 2021. Principle Place of Performance: U.S. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans ��������� 200 Hendee St New Orleans, LA 70005 Specific Location (No Street Address): �US Coast Guard Gretna Radar Tower - located on the levee behind Stone Fueling between First and Fried St in Gretna, LA, 70053. Period of Performance: The project shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days after award date. All quotes are due by the Close of Business 10 December 2020. Questions/Answers for the solicitation, to be updated as information is received: 1. �What is the part number? Answer: Generator is a Generac Model 004674L 12 KW Propane. 2. What are the working hours for this project? Answer: Hours are from 0800-1600, longer if necessary. 3. Is there a preference on Genset brand requested for EG/ATS. Do you have specs or PN's-I saw 20KW on the listing for the size? Answer: No preference on brand of generator. The only requirement is reliability. 4.�What size is the service and your fuse size in the main disconnect? Answer:�I don't have and specs for the 20Kw but the generator installed is a Generac�������� Model: 004674L���������������� 12 kW��������������� Propane 5. Is there any existing facility drawings? Answer: TBD, but none should be required. 6. Does the existing system need to be on a temporary generator while the installation is performed? Answer: The site does not need to be on temporary generator while installation is being performed 7. Do you have any photos? Answer: Not curently. May be able to provide photos on 12/9/20, in which all photos will be uploaded on the solicitation. 8. Have these requirements been performed in the past, could you provide the associated incumbent contract or task order numbers? Answer: I don't have contact number or TO number for the existing generator.
