Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one �(1) item of standing timber on approximately 35 acres within two (2) separate blocks at United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, 10996 of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The sales are sold per Item by unit, harvested timber will be sold per unit (MBF) scaled at receiving sawmill. Item 1 - TIMBER ON 2 BLOCK (35 ACRES) NORTHERN RED OAK � 76.9 MBF TULIP POPLAR � 60.3 MBF SUGAR MAPLE (Hard) � 20.4 MBF CHESTNUT OAK � 14.4 MBF BLACK BIRCH - 8.8 MBF OTHER HARDWOOD � 7.5 MBF OPTIONAL BID ITEMS MIXED HARDWOOD FUELWOOD/PULPWOOD � 16.61 CORDS WHITE ASH � 5.5 MBF MIXED HARDWOOD PALLET � 40 MBF Contract Period of Performance: Item # one (1) Area N � All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 31 MARCH 2022.� No tree cutting 31 March to 1 October. Area N shall be harvested first due to the presence of invasive and noxious plant species in Area L. In order to prevent the spread of these species ALL contractual obligations shall be completed in Area N prior moving into Area L so that equipment is not going between the areas. Item # one (1) Area L � All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 31 MARCH 2022.� No tree cutting 31 March to 1 October. INSPECTION INVITED ON FRIDAY 17 December 2020 and WEDNESDAY 30 December 30 BEGINNING AT 10:00 a.m EACH MORNING. FOR ACCESS TO HARVEST AREAS ARRANGE IN ADVANCE. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Thursday 7�January�2021�by the Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly.
