- Synopsis: This sources sought, in accordance with FAR Part 10, is to conduct Market Research on Industry�s Capabilities in providing Recycling Services for the Department of Interior, National Park Service, at Yellowstone National Park. Scope: The contractor shall provide the services of all activities and equipment associated with the collection and transport of commodities from within the boundaries of YNP. These commodities include: Aluminum/Steel - all types; Cardboard - corrugated and non-corrugated; Glass - all types and colors; Paper - all types, magazines, office pack, newspapers, slicks, phone books, etc.; Plastics - #1 and #2 bottles; One-pound propane cylinders (steel); Bear Spray canisters (steel) NAICS Code - The proposed NAICS Code for this action is 562111 Solid Waste Collection with a size standard of $41.5M. How to Respond This is a Sources Sought ONLY. The synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited; no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided other then market research. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a), or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriate based on the responses for this notice. The Government anticipates awarding a minimum of one (1) firm-fixed price contract. The total contract period, to include options, shall not exceed five (5) calendar years. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.-see 13 CFR 121.108.) Misrepresentation of size status can result in penalties. Please refer to the current SBA rules regarding HUBZone firms, effective October 1, 2011. Analysis of the quantity and quality of responses to this sources sought announcement will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement All relevant input is encouraged.
