- Sole Source. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona, intends to award a�hybird Firm Fixed Price / Time and Materials�contract on a sole source basis with X-Ray Sales & Service Associates LLC located at 482 W Arrow Hwy Unit L Sn Dimas CA, 91773. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground has a requirement�for a non-personnel services contract to provide preventive maintenance and inspection services for a quantity of two x-ray emitter installed by X-Ray Sales & Services Associates LLC. A controller console runs the system which was designed and built by X-Ray Sales & Service Associates LLC. X-Ray Sales & Service Associates LLC custom built a cooling system which, prevents the system from damaging themselves. The system is unified by a custom-built loom of controller cables also provided by X-Ray Sales & Service Associates LLC. �YPG has invested approximately $250,000 towards the procurement of x-ray tube systems and a means for reading the radiographs for the Static X-Ray Facility to provide quality radiographs to the test customer and YPG�s test officers. X-ray Associates considers their HV Generators and Control boxes as proprietary information. They do not disclose design or programming of those units to other vendors. The maintenance, checks, and services are performed by highly skilled engineers from X-Ray Associates. These engineers have a thorough understanding of YPG�s requirements, applications, and testing environment through having installed the entire system in January 2017, and having designed and built the control systems and power supplies for these x-ray systems. X-Ray Associates have included a one- year warranty on these x-ray systems which will expire in December, and which will be replaced with this service contract. X-Ray Associates will send one engineer to perform each quarterly service up to two consecutive days per visit. The period of performance shall be for one (1) Base Year of 12 months and two (2) 12 month option years. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811219 -Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a size standard of $20,500,000.00 dollar. Award for this requirement will be accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet this requirement by 21 December 2020, 11:00 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST). In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item.
