- The Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC) Department of Defense (DoD) Communications Standards and Technical Analysis Directorate has identified the need for a standardized approach and methodology for communications waveforms that reside on cards with standardized interconnects and data paths. These cards will provide communications functionality either as an independent entity (i.e., wholly replaceable unit) or as a modular capability within a larger system of systems architecture. This RFI will describe the process being planned to discover the essential services, capabilities, and constraints that must be addressed to develop a specification that will facilitate the development of waveform (communication) cards that can be easily and repeatedly integrated within a target platform.
