Solicitation Number: 12312020 Notice Type: Notice of Intent to Sole Source Title: SimpliciTTY Call Center Software Maintenance Description: The National Institute of Health (NIH), National Library of Medicine (NLM), intends to award a sole source purchase order for the Center of Technology (CIT) to NexTalk, for SimpliciTTY Call Center Software Maintenance. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541930-Translation and Interpretation Services. NexTalk is the only responsible source known to provide the services needed. It is NLM's intent that the proposed action may be awarded on a sole source basis to NexTalk under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Contractor Objectives and Tasks: The purpose of this acquisition is for renewal of the ongoing order Software and Maintenance Support for SimpliciTTY.� The product software provides the ability for NIH to use an Internet-based, live-text communication system with special provisions for the communication needs of people who are deaf or hard of hearing.� Ensuring that communication with people with disabilities is equally effective as communication with people without disabilities. Sole Source Justification In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, HPE is the only organization who can provide the services needed. This is not a solicitation, nor is a solicitation available. However, all interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications which will be considered by NLM. Responses must be in writing and must be submitted electronically to Damian Hurge, Contract Officer at hurgeda@mail.nih.gov �by 4:00 PM EST on, January 8, 2021. Proposals must include pricing information. No late responses will be accepted.
