Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Air Combat Electronics Program (PMA 209), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate and award a Delivery Order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N0001920G0005, with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), 2000 W. NASA BLVD. Melbourne, FL 32904-2322 to produce and qualify Specialized Test Equipment (STE) for the LN-92 Inertial Navigation Unit (INU) to replace the Inertial Measurement Unit Test Station (IMUTS). This acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� NGSC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and current Depot repair source and has been the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the LN-92 Inertial Navigation Unit (INUs) and the Inertial Measurement Unit Test Station (IMUTS). NGSC retains all data rights for the LN-92 making them the only known source with the necessary technical data, knowledge, experience, and expertise required to perform this effort. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPROSAL. This notice outlines the Government�s intent to contract on a sole source basis with NGSC.� No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Pursuant to FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
