- INTRODUCTION The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is conducting market research to determine interest, capability, and socio-economic category of potential sources for �nationwide preventive maintenance services for Life Fitness equipment.� The contractor must be authorized by Life Fitness to repair/maintain all equipment. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is�to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone; service-disabled veteran-owned, woman-owned, 8(a), etc.; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible.� Note: If you are submitting a capabilities statement and your firm does not own/operate the proposed services, your capabilities statement must address how your firm will meet performance requirements/Limitations on Subcontracting.� See Federal Acquisition Clauses 52.219-3, 52.219-14, 52.219-27, or 52.219-29 for information concerning performance requirements/limitations. BACKGROUND The use of commercial preventative maintanence servicesare required to allow agency personnel to maintiain physical training requirments. SCOPE The requirements for an acceptable services are included in the DRAFT REQUIREMENTS section below. The intent of the acquisition is for nationwide preventive maintenance services that meet all specifications outlined in the DRAFT REQUIREMENTS. RESPONSE INFORMATION In order for the TSA to improve its understanding of market capabilities and identify qualified vendors that are capable of providing the required services, a Contractor's Capabilities Statement is requested. This statement must identify your company's capabilities to meet the requirements identified in the attached DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW), Full Company Name, DUNS Number, Company Point of Contact, mailing address and phone number, Current Business Size (i.e., small business, 8(a), woman owned, veteran owned, etc.), and what experience you have providing similar and/or same services. The capabilities statement shall not exceed four (4) pages in length and shall be in either PDF or MS Word Format. This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. A Government requirement for this service is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Description of Services The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has a need for nationwide preventive maintenance services for Life Fitness equipment.� The contractor must be authorized by Life Fitness to repair/maintain all equipment listed below. ��The contractor shall coordinate all preventative maintenance visits with each field office through the COR located at the TSA Training Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey at least two weeks prior to arrival.� The contractor shall respond to all service calls within three (3) business days.� If a repair cannot be completed within thirty (30) business days, the contractor shall provide a loaner.� A loaner is described as equipment substantially the same or a similar model to satisfy the equipment. In the event it is determined between the government and the contractor that the equipment cannot be repaired the government will handle replacements.� The contractor shall bear all costs associated with shipping damaged or loaner equipment. he contractor must be escorted at all times while at a TSA facility. Scope � The contractor shall provide nationwide scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and service on TSA�s fitness equipment are detailed in Attachment A The contractor is to ensure the Transportation Security Administrations (TSA) Life Fitness equipment performs in accordance with the original equipment manufacturers preforming standards to include but not limited to the following: Inspection of parts for wear, alignment and maladjustment impending breakdown Adjustments for wear, alignment and maladjustment Replacement of faulty, worn or damaged parts and/or parts which are likely to become faulty or worn Calibration and lubrication Performing remedial maintenance of non-emergent nature Inspecting, and replacing where indicated, electrical wiring and cables for wear and fraying Additional repairs and maintenance as required in addition to the services specifically mentioned above that are deemed necessary to return equipment to full operating condition.� These services are to ensure the safe and dependable operation of the equipment at all times. Maintenance Schedule The contractor shall provide two (2) PM visits per calendar year for all cardio equipment and one (1) PM visits per calendar year for strength training equipment. Travel requirements. No travel anticipated; local service shall be utilized Special Requirements:� The vendor must submit certifications for all technicians stating they are currently certified to perform services on Life Fitness equipment.� Certificate will be kept on file by COR in the Transportation Security Administration Training Center
