- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY Technical Assistance to Conduct Studies in Support of a NERC Exception Request The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) operates a hydroelectric power plant at the Amistad Dam and Reservoir located approximately 12 miles northwest of Del Rio, Texas. The Amistad Power Plant includes a power station with two 33 MW hydroelectric generating units powered by two 42,300 HP Francis Turbines. The U.S. power plant at Amistad generates an average of 99,000 Mega-Watt hours (MWh) of power annually. USIBWC requires technical assistance in conducting studies in support of an application to deregister the Amistad Power Plant from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) registry.��
