Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION The Government is issuing this Request for Information to determine a competitive basis for the procurement described. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey.� This survey is for market research purposes only. �Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Request for Information.� Requirement The US Army Corps of Engineers, (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract to replace eight (8) existing tainter spillway gates at Center Hill Dam. The estimated magnitude of this project is more than $10,000,000.00. The Contractor will be responsible for the following activities/items under the proposed contract:� 1) �Fabricate tainter spillway gates with a skin plate of approximately 50� long and 37� tall, and vertically supported by WT stringers. The vertical stringers are supported by 70� deep horizontal girders which carry the hydrostatic load to three trunnion arms on each side of the beams.� 2) �The three trunnion arms come together and connect to a trunnion connection hub, where the gates are ultimately supported by a solid 14� diameter pin. �The gate weighs approximately 150,000 pounds.� 3) �This work will be accomplished via construction contract with a target award dates of on/about September 30, 2021.� 4) �Once A gate is decommissioned, the replacement gate must be in place and able to hold back full lake levels by December 1st.� *Please note that this description is subject to change.� The anticipated NAICS code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a small business size standard of $39.5 million.� Survey The Government is issuing this notice to determine a competitive basis as this contract will be solicited as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) with Definitive Responsibility Criteria (DRC). This is not a solicitation, and the items listed herein are subject to change or be eliminated from the requirement. This survey is for market research purposes only.
