01/05/2021--THIS IS NOW A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES.� PLEASE SEND ALL QUOTES BY 20 JANUARY 2021, 10AM EST. THE RFQ IS ATTACHED. N0017421Q0015 BRAND NAME MANDATORY This is a pre-solicitation synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is it construed as a commitment by the government. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR 5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offeror's of an upcoming solicitation for supplies The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) has a BRAND NAME MANDATORY requirement for -DRS SYSTEM The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract; the award will be made based on the lowest price. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 314999. The SB size standard for this code is 500 Employees It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available for download on or around 05 Jan 2021. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a notice commercial item within 15 days of this.
