- 1.Introduction/Purpose The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a Market Survey to advance the maturity of NASAs Expandable Variable-Autonomy Architecture (EVAA) with imbedded Ground and Air Collision Avoidance Systems (GCAS and ACAS). The goal of this effort is to accelerate these capabilities towards commercial suitability and further document certification paths for general aviation use. A draft Statement of Work is attached to provide a general overview of the size and scope of this project. The FAA is seeking industry capability statements to help determine the proper acquisition strategy for this requirement. No notification about the outcome of this Market Survey will be released except as deemed appropriate at the FAAs sole discretion. The FAA is interested in the capabilities of both small and other than small businesses to perform the services. 2.Standard Language Interested entities are reminded that: (a)This is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposals of any kind; (b)The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; (c)The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this submission request; and (d)Any costs associated with this request is solely at the interested entity's expense. 3.North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: The NAICS code for this requirement is 541715 (Aerospace Research and Development). 4.Submission and Qualifying Requirements Interested entities are requested to submit no more than 3 pages to address the following requirements/qualifications: (a)Interested parties must have flown a similar military system on both the F-16 and F-35 (which includes having formal training from a military test pilot school). (b)Interested parties must have an experimental airplane platform and be able to integrate additional hardware and software for the project. (c)Interested parties must be able to fly test points in the Sierra Nevada mountainous region that was used for military system development. (d)Interested parties must provide their business size and classification (e.g. Large, Small, Small Economically Disadvantaged 8(a), etc.) 5.Response Requirements Interested parties must electronically submit responses via email to Nicole.Saiauskie@faa.gov no later than4 PM (EST) on 1/15/21. Electronically submitted responses to this Market Survey must include the subject line *Expandable Variable-Autonomy Architecture (EVAA) Market Survey Response*. Questions regarding this Market Survey must be electronically submitted via email to Nicole.Saiauskie@faa.gov no later than 5 PM (EST) on 1/12/21. Electronically submitted questions must include the subject line *Expandable Variable-Autonomy Architecture (EVAA) Market Survey Questions*. 6.Attachment: (I)Draft Statement of Work
