- This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information only.� This is not a Solicitation Announcement, nor is it a Request for Quote.� This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award.� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is issuing the sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for civil works facility�services.� The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement.� The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 561210.� Summary of Work: The Contractor shall furnish all necessary management, labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, plant, and vehicles required to perform janitorial services, garbage collection, landscaping services, and pest control services.� This work will occur at the Engineers Depot on Hutchinson Island in Savannah, GA. Janitorial Services:� The Contractor shall perform weekly janitorial services in�various Engineer Depot Buildings. � Building #1: Approximately 2,000 square feet to include restrooms, private offices, common work areas, hallways and a locker room. Building #2: Approximately 4,000 square feet to include restrooms, private offices, common work areas, a conference room, break/kitchen area and hallways. � Garbage Collection:� The Contractor shall provide two dumpsters with a minimum capacity of 4 cubic yards each.��The dumpsters shall be emptied weekly.� � Landscaping Services:� The Contractor shall inspect and furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to maintain the Engineers Depot landscaping. The Contractor shall mow, weed, trim, edge, prune, fertilize and mulch grassed and landscaped areas, and other miscellaneous landscaping services around the entire property.� The mowing work area is approximately 3.5 acres. � Full Mowing, Trimming, and Edging of Grass: The Contractor shall mow the entire property at the Engineers Depot including 10� along each side of the entrance roadway.� The Contractor shall perform 14 mowings over the course of a year, approximately every two weeks. � Deweeding of Planted Areas, Application of Herbicides, Disease and Vegetation Control: The Contractor control unwanted vegetation at the Engineers Depot. The appropriate application of herbicide shall be applied to vegetation growing along the edges of the walkways, parking lots, fences, graveled areas, or other areas designated as appropriate to keep those areas vegetation free. Cut vegetative material or treat with appropriate herbicide. � Annual Mulching:� Pine straw and mulch shall be added around individually planted trees and shrubs and other designated areas once each year. � Annual Pruning:� The Contractor shall prune all shrubs and trees planted around buildings and in other designated areas once per year. � Pest Control Services:� The Contractor shall establish monthly professional services to monitor, control and remove pests at the Engineers Depot. If significant subcontracting (self-performance is less than 15%) or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements to include the percentage anticipated tobe self-performed by each party.
