Description
Title: Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), Northern California Area Office (NCAO) Solid Waste Disposal Services This is a Sources Sought announcement for acquisition planning purposes. No formal solicitation for this work exists currently. This notice is being issued to help determine the availability of qualified small businesses technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition, including whether a small business socio-economic set-aside is possible. All eligible and qualified contractors may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the quantity and availability of small business contractors who have the equipment, experience, technical level of expertise, administration and management capability to perform the effort described below. The capability statements received will be used to determine BOR's overall procurement strategy. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, supplies and tools necessary to perform NCAO Solid Waste Disposal Services. Specific objectives include: - Weekly Services - Garbage containers placed on-site and emptied weekly on a regularly scheduled day during normal hours of operation. - On-Call Services - Garbage containers to be emptied within 2 working days of service requested. - Additional Services - Additional services include additional waste containers for special projects needed on a short or long-term temporary basis. Depending on the requirement, waste pickup could be regularly scheduled or on-call. The additional waste containers could be placed at various locations throughout areas where NCAO performs business. The Contractor shall be given 2 working days' notice prior to a requirement of additional services. Number and size of garbage containers: - Weekly Services - Three (3) six (6) yard containers; one (1) four (4) yard container - On-Call Services - One (1) twenty (20) yard container - Additional Services - Unknown Delivery, Period of Performance and Project Location: - Period of Performance - Anticipated to be 5 years (base + 4 option years) from awarded date. - Project Location - Four work Sites and surrounding areas: - Shasta Power Plant (Main Complex), 16349 Shasta Dam Blvd., Shasta Lake, CA, 96019 - Keswick Power Plant, 16515 Keswick Dam Road, Redding, CA, 96003 - Spring Creek Power Plant, 11757 Iron Mountain Mine Road, Redding, CA, 96003 - J.F. Carr Powerhouse, 1000 Powerhouse Road, Redding, CA, 96003 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 562111 - Solid Waste Collection. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $41.5 Million. Interested Contractors may submit capability statements that include the following information: (1) Firm's name, address, telephone number, business size and type (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Woman Owned, etc.). (2) Point of contact including name, position, phone number and email address. (3) Demonstration of the firm's previous experience as a prime or subcontractor performing this service. (4) Capability statements are to be received no later than 3:00 PM Pacific Time on Tuesday, January 12, 2020.
