- Description
- PM PNT, an office within the Armys Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S), provides effective and affordable Assured PNT to the Soldier and ground Platform. PNT is a critical warfighting capability and enables multi-domain operations. PM PNT is pursuing innovative means to acquire, mature and test solutions that address emerging threats and capability gaps. As part of these efforts PM PNT has stood up a new Product Office, Product Manager PNT Modernization, and the Open Innovation Lab (OIL). The OIL is a Contractor Owned Contractor Operated Facility (COCO) that provides an innovative, unclassified facility enabling Academia, Industry, Government and other organizations to collaborate on Army PNT future capabilities and solutions. The OIL provides a venue where vendors can showcase solutions that may satisfy operational and capability gaps. The OIL will ideally verify compliance to modular open systems architectures (i.e. CMOSS), the PNT reference architecture, and other open standards. In some cases, the government may provide workspace to a selected partner. While the government is open to all concepts that support its ability to rapidly integrate the latest technologies, the strategic vision seeks to leverage Independent Research and Development (IR&D) funding to rapidly progress through the development phase in favor of a focus on integration, testing, procurement, and fielding. The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information for the purposes of market research which may inform future requirements and contract efforts for providing Assured Positioning, Navigation, and timing (PNT) as part of the C5ISR/EW Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) effort.
