Description
The objective of this contract is to provide quick-response healthcare facility engineering and architectural services primarily in support of the Defense Health Agency�s (DHA) facility sustainment, restoration, and modernization (SRM) program.� Requirements may also be requested by DHA�s subordinate medical services (U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine (BUMED), and the Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA).� The contractor is expected to provide all labor, materials, logistical, and administrative support in the performance of the TOs awarded under this contract and will perform and deliver all work in keeping with commonly accepted practices, quality, and professional standards for the architect-engineer industry and in keeping with all applicable local, installation, state, federal, and host-nation requirements. This contract will provide full-service specialized medical facility architecture, engineering, and planning services primarily to support renovation, additions, alterations, and demolition of medical clinics, dental clinics, hospitals, medical laboratories, veterinary clinics and similar facilities and their supporting infrastructure and related systems. Work under this multiple award IDC will be in support of diverse locations within the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories and possessions; and the following overseas locations: Afghanistan, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.� Work products may include (but are not limited to) the preparation of:� architectural and engineering designs or work plans (all direct and supporting disciplines); transition plans; schedules; specifications; design criteria; sustainable design; engineering analyses; engineering studies; cost estimates; economic analyses; facility planning; value engineering; facility condition assessments and investigations; as-built development; hazardous materials surveys and abatement plans; bid-phase services; construction phase services (submittal review, RFIs, engineering during construction); surveying and mapping; testing; construction inspection services; preparation of documentation and permits; and facility commissioning.
