- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for an experienced contractor to provide materials and labor for the containment, transport, and disposal of drilling fluids and solids resulting from the construction of two groundwater borehole sites in the Los Angeles metropolitan area during calendar year 2021. The sites are located within the City of Cerritos and Paramount (California). This combined synopsis/solicitation for a firm fixed price commercial service contract is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is 140G0321Q0020 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-02, effective November 23, 2020. Please see solicitation with CLINS, technical specifications, provisions, and clauses. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by 3:00pm ET on December 21, 2020. Quotations are due no later than 3:00pm ET on December 29, 2020. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type purchase order on or about January 5, 2021. NOTE: All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary - the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Materials submitted to the Government for review will not be returned. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to check back periodically for any amendments to the synopsis or solicitation. To be considered for award responses to the solicitation must include the following: 1) The RFQ (SF18) SIGNED 2) ALL amendments to the RFQ must be SIGNED 3) all other required documentation. 4) Bottom of solicitation � Fill in response is required for FAR provisions 52.204-24 and 52.204-26 Please provide an active DUNS number In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered and have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of submitting a quote to be considered for an award of a federal contract.
