Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS), issues�this solicitation on a Full & Open Competition (F&OC) basis, however Load Assembly & Pack (LAP) and Deep Drawn Cartridge Cases will be restricted to the United States (U.S.) and Canada to protect the National Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB) and maintain the required domestic capability for production of critical ammunition and make it available in the event of a national emergency. The 105mm M724A2 cartridge is a Kinetic Energy (KE) Target Practice, Discarding Sabot with Tracer (TPDS-T) round for use in the 105mm M68 gun tube series on the Stryker Mobile Gun System (MGS).�� It is intended to provide a ballistic match to the 105mm KE tactical cartridge, the M900 Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot with Tracer (APFSDS-T), at limited maximum range of 7000 meters to allow practice firings at short range training areas. The contractor shall manufacture, test and deliver the M724A2 Cartridges. The contractor shall provide for all necessary labor, material, supplies, services, facilities, and equipment to perform all of the requirements of the drawing, SOW and RFP. The Government anticipates making one award. Deliveries will be required within 24 months after contract award. All information is to be furnished at no obligation to the Government.
