Description
This is a Market Survey to notify the public that the US Army intends to exercise contract option for FY2021 and execute delivery orders to acquire and maintain the MDR80-V MUMT-2 Digital Video Recorder, (DVR), NSN: 5836-01-629-6814, P/N: 51571001-520 and the Removable Memory Module, 64GB Flash Drives, NSN: 7045-01-630-6570, P/N: 51570601-537. The current source for supply, EXTANT AEROSPACE Corporation, 1615 West Nasa Blvd, Melbourne, Florida 32901, Data Recorder Division, CAGE 22830, formerly Sensors & Integrated Systems UTC AEROSPACE SYSTEMS / TEAC Aerospace Technologies Inc., can produce and perform maintenance services for these items. The MDR-80V DVR is installed on the AH-64 Apache Helicopter to record and playback mission data. �A detailed technical data package for the manufacture or acceptance of this unit is not available from the U.S. Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing or maintaining this unit must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CCDC C5ISR, ATTN: FCDD-ISP-AB, 6560 Surveillance Loop, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD 21005-1846. The response must include documentation such as test results, a copy of a purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from the listed source demonstrating that the supplier can supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the units from the listed supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that this item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center (ILSC), intends to acquire assets through Delivery Order and maintenance services through Task Orders to support the AH-64D Apache Helicopter Operations. Requirements Description: The MDR80V MANNED / UNMANNED TEAMING 2 (MUM-T2) DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER (DVR) is a remote compact, self-contained solid-state Digital Video Recorder (DVR) used to record and playback pilot and copilot/gunner video and audio information from the REMOVABLE MEMORY MODULE (RMM) 64 GIGA-BYTE (GB) FLASH DRIVE (FD) included with the recorder. The MDR-80V is form-fit-function compatible with the EXTANT AEROSPACE MDR-80C Digital Data Mission Recorder. The MDR-80V is based upon the Intel processor and supports the industry standard four-bus architecture which supplies the interface to various internal subsystems. The internal buses also provide functional expandability by adding expansion cards. A separate video interface is provided that will allow the unit to utilize S-Video for enhanced picture quality. The Operating System (OS) and other system software reside in the Boot Device and Application Card (BDAC). MDR80V MUM-T2 DVR & RMM 64GB FD: The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP) for the parts. The TDPis proprietary to EXTANT AEROSPACE CORPORATION and is not available for release. The TDP includes level 3 Production information. MDR80V MUM-T2 DVR & RMM 64GB FD: Current contract: W56JSR-18-D-0032. The following additional NAICS apply: 334310 MDR80V MUM-T2 DVR, NSN: 5836-01-629-6814, P/N: 51571001-520 and the RMM 64 Giga-Byte (GB) Flash Drive NSN: 7045-01-630-6570, p/n: 51570601-537. Requested Response Information: We request sources that can manufacture or supply the listed parts or services to submit information to show their capability to manufacture or supply the same or similar parts; their capability to supply the same or similar services. At a minimum the support information you submit should include, but is not limited to, the following types of documentation: Questionnaire, drawings test results, If the contractor was a subcontractor to the prime contractor provide invoices, contracts or documentation showing in fact that there was a subcontract by the prime manufacturer of this equipment In your response, please include your company name, CAGE code, and a technical point of contract with email address and telephone number. Notice, Response Due Date, and Points of Contact: This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business.� Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.
