The Government proposes to acquire on a firm-fixed price One-Time Buy contract, a quantity of 46 each, BAR ASSEMBLY,TRANSP; NSN: 1740-01-221-9436; Part Number: 7-367310013 applicable to the BJ APACHE weapon system. Production Lead Time without First Article Testing, 540 Days After Contract Award (DACA) with deliveries to NEW TRACY, CA, 95304-5000. This item is restricted to: THE BOEING COMPANY CAGE CODE 8V613 The data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. This part must be acquired, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The rights to use the data needed to purchase this part from additional source(s) are not owned by the Government and cannot be purchased, developed, or otherwise obtained. As a result, this acquisition is currently being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2) having only a limited number of responsible sources. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casldba.casl_cmo_samsar and looking under Standardized Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
