Description
The mission of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) is to assure civil aerospace safety through excellence in medical certification, aerospace medical education, human factors research, aerospace medical research and occupational health services. The purpose of this market survey is to understand current market conditions, availability, interest and capability in the provision of a firm-fixed contract of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) pre-fabricated Aircraft Firefighting Research Laboratory. It will allow the government�s experts to conduct aircraft cabin safety research as well as train airline flight crew in various onboard fire suppression scenarios as outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW) in support of the government's requirement in full. Interested parties shall include, Name of Entity, Contact Information and Information regarding proposed system with a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) complete with anticipated costs for the initial purchase and any additional training required to operate the facility. Response to this Market Survey: Any information provided under this market survey is for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected appropriately. No evaluation of vendors will occur and vendor participation in any informational session is not an assurance of future business with the FAA. The FAA prefers that all submittals, including attachments, be submitted electronically to the following acquisition team emailed to addresses: Stephanie.Riddle@faa.gov and Raymond.Lena@faa.gov. All responses to this market survey must be received by 12:00 P.M, Central Time on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Please submit in a portable document format (pdf) on company letterhead in no less than 12 font. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION SHALL BE PROVIDED BY INTERESTED VENDORS: 1. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Information. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey/Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested vendor�s expense. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small business owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
