- N0016421SNB20 � REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) � SHORT RANGE WEAPON MOUNTED THERMAL CLIP ON SIGHT, PSC: 1240 � NAICS: 333314 Issue Date 12 January 2021 � Closing Date 29 January 2021 This RFI is being posted to Beta SAM page located at https://beta.sam.gov/. Beta SAM is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Please feel free to use the Beta SAM site to access information posted by Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. A previous RFI was posted for this effort under RFI Number, N0016420SNB75. Any previous market research conducted did not contain information required. All Offerors are requested to respond IAW this RFI, N0016421SNB20. NSWC Crane is seeking information for market research purposes relative to technologies for a Short Range Weapon Mounted Thermal Clip On Sight. The performance specifications can be found in the controlled attached document(s) titled Performance Specification Descriptions (Attachment 1) and Performance Specification Matrix (Attachment 2). Please reference the enclosed attachments for more information. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to submit an initial synopsis due 29 January 2021 (commonly referred to as white paper). This white paper should not exceed 30 written pages (excluding supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogues, manuals, etc.), with an executive summary (one page or less) on the effort, a technical description detailing how performance characteristics are met, identification of risks, current Technology Readiness Level (TRL), operational availability data, Reliability-Availability-Maintainability (RAM) data, and production readiness data. In addition to the white paper, the Government requests interested parties complete and return the attachment titled Performance Specification Matrix. The Government requests interested parties to complete columns D � G in the Performance Specification Matrix entirely. All responses should be submitted electronically. In addition to the above submission, all interested parties are requested to fill out and return the attached Market Research Questionnaire (Attachment 3) included with this announcement. Responses from Small and Small Disadvantaged Businesses are highly encouraged. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business, a socially and economically disadvantaged business, 8(a) firms, historically black colleges or universities, and minority institutions.
