- Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, VISN 11 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the following items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this medical equipment is 339113. The vendor, Hill-Rom, Inc, is a large business, located at 1069 State Rte 46 E, Batesville, IN 47006 Description of equipment requirements: Bed Rental, Bariatric Tri-Flex Air Sae 48 Inch The bed referenced is for immediate use in the extended care service at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. The bed was originally placed on a Purchase Card. The Purchase Card limit has since been reached. The bed is currently in service at the Medical Center. Therefore; the same bed must remain at the Medical Center to prevent delays and adverse impact on the patient. A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This is not a Request for Proposal; this is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source requirement.
