- This is a special notice provided for informational purposes only, prepared in accordance with FAR 5.2- Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition and Property Operations, Goods and Services Operations plans to issue a single source award in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) to MWI Pumps, Inc. This contract is for the repair and refurbish of an FPI Pump SSEM12 rated 4,485GPM @ 26.0 TDH with 40hp submersible electric motor located on the Kootenai River at Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge in Bonner�s Ferry, Idaho. Market research has indicated that MWI, from whom the pump was purchased is the only source suited to repair this pump due to its unique use and components. Attempts have been made to get quotes from other vendors, but were not successful. For this reason, it has been determined that MWI Pumps, Inc is the only vendor able to fulfill this requirement. This notice is not a request for proposal/quote or invitation for bid. A solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with this notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the proposed services can provide supporting documents demonstrating capability for future reference. The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred in response to this notice.
