Description
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal/bid/quotation and no contract will be awarded from this notice. Military Sealift Command (MSC) has a requirement for the upcoming Mid-Term Availability (MTA) on the USNS PATUXENT (T-AO 201). The period of performance for this requirement is on or about 26 August 2021 for fifty (50) calendar days. The USNS PATUXENT (T-AO 201) has a length of 677 Ft and 6 in, a Beam of 97 Ft, Draft of 36 Ft and Displacement of 40,700 long Tons and 42,382 short tons at full load. Area of consideration are East and Gulf Coast. Major work items associated with this availability include: CCSI Tank Pressure-Vacuum Valves, Ballast Tank Structural Repairs, Cargo Tie Down Replacements, Cargo and Ballast Tank Swing Lid Preservation, FAS and RAS King Post Preservation, RAS and FAS Kingpost Support Brackets (T-ALT0819), CCSI Flight Deck Preservation, Tank Preservation, Deckhouse Preservation, CSI Main Engine Service, CSI Main Engine Overhaul, CSI Overhaul Main Engine Turbochargers, CSI Renew Main Engine Exhaust Stack Resilient Mounts, Miscellaneous Pipe Repairs, HP Air Compressor Overhaul, and Window Regasketing and Steel Repairs, and other types of work required to meet regulatory requirements set forth, by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and American Bureau of Shipping. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 27 January 2021, with an estimated closing date on or about 13 March 2021. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted and be found on beta.SAM (https://beta.sam.gov) under solicitation number N32205-21-R-4110. A Sources Sought Notice was posted on beta.SAM on 12 December 2020 with a response date of 26 December 2020. As a result of said notice, this requirement will be solicited as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. MSC�s Small Business Deputy, Jacqueline Alford, reviewed the market research results and concurred with the decision to procure this requirement as such on12 January 2021. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by MSC. Additionally, all responses must provide a DUN & Bradstreet Number and a Cage Code. The appropriate NAICS Code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this potential source as a result of this synopsis.
