- The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office One (NCO 1) intends to release solicitation 36C24121Q0161 for Acute Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Specialty Care (SCT) Ambulance Transportation Services for beneficiaries of the VA MAINE Healthcare System. Services will include the provision of ALS, BLS, and SCT transportation to beneficiaries located in the entire state of Maine as well as occasional trips to VA locations in Vermont and Massachusetts. The full solicitation will be posted on the System for Award Management (SAM) located at https://beta.sam.gov on or about January 20th, 2021. Performance period will be 365 calendar days after award, with four 1-year option periods. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming request for quote (RFQ) solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. All questions should be directed to the Contracting Officer, who will consolidate all questions and release a FAQ amendment (if necessary) once the solicitation is released. All interested parties should register via the SAM portal at https://sam.gov/SAM to be eligible for participation in the solicitation. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from SAM which may be issued to this solicitation. Prospective firms must be registered in the system for award management (www.sam.gov) and in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database on Vet Biz (www.vetbiz.gov) if claiming Veteran preference prior to award.
