- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE to Mercury Systems. RFQ# N66001-21-Q-6086 The proposed contract action is for SERIAL I/O BOARD W/VXIWORKS, which the Naval Warfare Information Center Pacific(NIWC PAC SD) San Diego intends to solicit this requirement on a sole source basis to Mercury Systems: 50 Minute Road, Andover, MA 01810 Phone:1-514-576-3577 under the authority of Far 13.106-1(b)(1). Justification: Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)1;Sole source justification is based on Mercury Systems is the ONLY company is the Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) and sole manufacturer of this proprietary design of the BP-5722GE. This is a solicitation for Supplies, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all proposals received within three (3) days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of the determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N66001-21-Q-6086 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334418.
