Description
U.S. General Services Administration FY2022 Battery Electric and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles�Request for Information The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Fleet Management (GSA Fleet) is seeking information from industry on commercially available battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles that can be provided to GSA Fleet for sale and/or lease to eligible GSA customers.� These vehicles must meet or exceed current Federal Vehicle Safety Standards for Domestic use, and all vehicles produced for other global regions are to comply with safety and emission standards for the countries they are intended for sale outside the United States. GSA Fleet will use the information provided by industry to determine if the market can meet customer demand for battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. GSA Fleet�s intent is to develop a comprehensive, industry-informed requirement and acquisition strategy to pursue battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle offerings in Fiscal Year 2022 as part of GSA�s annual non-tactical vehicle contracts.� GSA Fleet is seeking commercially available products sold through Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or authorized resellers for vehicle brands including, but not limited to:�� Fiat-Chrysler� Ford General Motors Honda Isuzu IVECO Lordstown Mitsubishi Nissan� Rivian Renault Tesla Volkswagen Workhorse GSA Fleet seeks information on products available domestically, and in the European Union (EU), Japan, and the Middle East for the following vehicle types:� Sedans and Passenger Station Wagons Cargo and Passenger Vans (4X4 and 4X2) Sport Utility Vehicles and crossovers (4X4 and 4X2) Wheelchair-Accessible Light Vehicles Pickup trucks (4X4 and 4X2) Buses (school, transit, and shuttle) Light/Medium/Heavy Trucks with vocational bodies (e.g. utility, box, delivery, dump, stake, etc.) Tractor Trucks Ambulances Any/all other sizes and types of vehicles, excluding motorcycles and (LSEV) low speed electric vehicles*� *These excluded vehicle types can be offered through the GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) and are listed on GSA Advantage. Please note, GSA Fleet is NOT requesting pricing at this time. GSA Fleet is currently only in the requirements development phase of the acquisition process. All products sold to the government are required to comply with the (WTO/TAA) Trade Agreement Acts, the Buy American Act, and Section 889 of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act. GSA Fleet will hold a virtual Zoom-based Industry Day targeted for the second week of February 2021, to further discuss the 2022 Battery Electric and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles Request for Information and the potential needs of the Government. Details of this meeting will be posted to beta.SAM.gov. If your company is interested in attending the industry day, please indicate so withing your response. SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES: Interested parties must submit a cover sheet, the model submission spreadsheet and responses to specific questions. Responses to this RFI should be sent to Michael Davidson at michael.davidson@gsa.gov with the subject line, �Response to RFI - FY2022 Electric and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles,� by no later�than January 31, 2021 at 3:00 PM EST. Please include in your subject line: Response to RFI - FY2022 Battery Electric and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles. Name of your company, contact information, and brief company description. Number of employees Estimated annual sales Response to RFI questions. Response to the model submission spreadsheet. SPECIFIC QUESTIONS: Has your company in the past, or currently now offer its� services to the Federal Government? Is your company registered within SAM.gov? (Y/N) What type of vehicles do you sell/would you be willing to offer to the government? Are the vehicles that could potentially be offered by your company, and your company�s operations, in compliance with Part A and B of Section 889 of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act? If not, would your company be willing to become compliant prior to selling to the government? Which countries can your products be sold in? Please be specific for each product. �
