The quote due date has been extended to 20 JANUARY 2021, 12:00 p.m. (Local Rome, Italy).�� ********** UPDATE on 10�DECEMBER�2020:� The Request for Quotation�(RFQ) including attachments are hereby published. Please see the documents under�Attachments/Links. The site visit is on-schedule for 16 December 2020 (Wednesday)(1500). The participants will meet at Main Gate (Gate Number 4) Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy.�� *********** DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: �This is a Design-Build project. The scope of work consists in replacement the kitchen�s hood at Building 726. Building 726 is located in Camp Darby and presently used as the Child Development Center. The existing kitchen hood needs to be replaced with its exhaust/supply air system because not in compliance with NFPA96. The main non-conformities are due to: Supply and exhaust air ducts include material not allowed, such as flexible plastic air ducts. The dimensions of the hood are not sufficient to cover the cooking equipment to allow a correct exhaust of the fumes. The fire suppression system do not cover the entire hood. Joints/connection not allowed by NFPA96. No access port provided for cleaning. Ducts slope does not allow for drainage. Ledges, hinges and other areas allowing grease accumulation. The hood�s supply air plenum is interconnected with the building ventilation system. Ducts pass through fire rated wall without fire dampers. Works included in this contract are aimed to solve these problems. Location of the work: �The work under this contract will be performed at Darby Military Community, USAG Italy. MAGNITUDE OF THE PROJECT: The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 (�22,445.00) to $100,000.00 (�89,780.00). FUNDING: �Expected to receive project funding approval. METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Quotation (RFQ) resulting in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract.� PERFORMANCE PERIOD: This project shall be performed in two phases. Design Phase:� 80 calendar days� //� Construction Phase:� 60 calendar days. NOTE:� All construction works must be done during the period of not-use of the kitchen, from June 10th to August 10th. Passes for construction shall be obtained during design phase. Approval for material submittal shall be obtained during design phase. Individual Notice to Proceeds will be released for each of the two phases. SITE VISIT: �The site visit date is scheduled on 16 December 2020 (Wednesday)(1500) at (Main Gate) Gate No. 4, Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: In order to participate all interested parties will be invited to indicate their interest by submitting an email not later than Close of Business (COB) by 1 December 2020 or sooner to ryan.d.bueno2.civ@mail.mil and Sonia.zanobini2.ln.@mail.mil. Please indicate in your e-mail the solicitation number and the name of the company, address, phone number, e-mail address, and name(s) of the person(s) who will be present at the site visit (maximum two persons): first name, last name, date of birth, place of birth, type and number of identification document. Please attach the Identification Document (Carta di Identita) and provide vehicle type and plate number to the e-mail. �Only the person(s) who have provided the personal data will be allowed to attend the site visit. The guards will check the identification card at the gate. Visitors not included or annotated on the visitor list will be denied the entrance to the Installations.
