- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a modification under contract N00024-19-C-5313, with L-3 Advanced Systems & Technology, Plano, TX for the production and lot acceptance testing of MK 332 Mod 0 High Explosive 4 Bolt Guided (HE-4G) cartridges.� The 57mm HE-4G Cartridge is an ammunition item used in conjunction with the MK 110 MOD 0 57mm Gun Mount. The 57mm HE-4G Cartridge consists of a Radio Frequency Guided Projectile (RFGP) filled with a main charge, a brass cartridge case, a primer, and propellant The 57mm HE-4G Cartridge is designed by L-3 and is currently undergoing Navy qualification.� L-3 is currently building the qualification hardware, which is expected to be� completed by March 2021. Parties interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact L-3 directly. The proposed modification to contract is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement no later than fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis.� Any submissions will not be reimbursed by the Government -- the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed modification to contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
