ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL�DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.� INTRODUCTION The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to issue a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with General Atomics (GA) for the procurement of supplies and services in support of Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) systems of the Ford Class of Carriers. � The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(l) and FAR 6.302-1, ""Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."" �As the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of EMALS and AAG, GA is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical expertise to provide the required supplies and services. As a result, only GA has the technical data, unique engineering support experience and detailed knowledge of the EMALS and AAG systems to meet the Department of the Navy's requirements. � ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FY21 � FY26 ANTICIPATED CONTRACT TYPE Various contract types are anticipated.� THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to�determine potential and eligible businesses under beta.SAM capable of providing the supplies described herein�prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Government is not�obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this sources sought. ELIGIBILITY The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 336413, Other Aircraft Part and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees. �The Product Service Codes (PSC) are 1710 - Aircraft Landing Equipment and 1720 - Aircraft Launching Equipment. �Other service codes may be applicable to individual orders. � Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their responses.� All responses, including capability statements, shall be submitted no later than 3:30 PM EST, 29 January 2021.�Responses shall be submitted electronically to the designated Contract Specialist, Priscilla Ibanez, in Microsoft�Word format or Portable Document Format (PDF) at the following email address: priscilla.ibanez@navy.mil.��All information submitted will be adequately safeguarded from unauthorized disclosure in accordance with FAR�15.207.
