Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order to AVO TRAINING for SUBSTATION MAINTENENACE TRAINING I. The course provides an overview of substation equipment and equipment operations. Labs and instructions provided are designed to help the technician locate weak or faulty components in the substation systems; it focuses on medium voltage circuit breakers (air and vacuum) and switchgear. The course is designed to aid skilled qualified substation maintenance technicians responsible for the maintenance and testing of industrial and utility substations. AVO Institute is the only company that offers training on the Megger equipment to conduct substation maintenance. AVO Training Institute is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is accredited to issue the IACET CEU. The period of performance will be 01-05 FEB 2021. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by the closing date of this announcement (5:00PM EST, January 22, 2021). Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends on proceeding with awarding a fixed price purchase order to AVO TRAINING.
