- Changes to the bid opening date of January 21, 2021 to February 4, 2021 beta.Sam.gov description as follows: Due to delay in the delivery of advertisement mailers, the bid opening date has been extended from January 21, 2021 to February 4, 2021. Bids will still only be considered if submitted according to the conditions outlined in the attached Invitation for Bids. Tours may now be scheduled until COB February 1, 2021. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale two (2) item of timber on approximately Four Hundred Seventy-Seven (477) acres total located within Fort Drum, Jefferson County, NY of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The Item 1 and Item 2 are being sold per unit harvested timber will be sold by WEIGHT & any sawlogs paid on Fort Drum Sliding Scale ITEM 1 (TA 9A) � Harvest Operation Dates 16 October � 15 April All 240 acres SHALL be harvested by 31 August 2022.� Contractor may skid up to 15 May, as long as operations do not stop for more than 7 consecutive days after 15 April. Contractor may process on the landing until complete after 15 April, as long as work does not stop for more than 7 consecutive days. Tree cutting allowed from 16 October - 15 April.� Skidding and processing will be allowed after 15 April as long as work does not stop for more than 7 days Leave trees are marked with ORANGE paint. ALL other woody stems (not marked) down to 1"" DBH shall be cut and removed. There are two (2) landing locations. One in the northern portion of the block and another in the southern. Ground conditions are not conducive to wet season harvesting. Purchaser SHALL avoid off limits cultural sites, which are identified in the field with pink/black striped flagging. No known metal contamination, but still possible ITEM 2 (TA 19A) � Harvest Operation Dates 16 October � 15 April All 237 acres SHALL be harvested, processed and site-rehabbed by 31 August 2022.� Contractor may skid up to 15 May, as long as operations do not stop for more than 7 consecutive days after 15 April. Contractor may process on the landing until complete after 15 April, as long as work does not stop for more than 7 consecutive days.
