- This is a sources sought only, not a solicitation announcement.� This is NOT a request for proposals or quotes and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. This ��sources sought is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of any commercially available manufacturing vendors that may be of interest to the United States Coast Guard (USCG).� This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources.� All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. The USCG Aviation Logistics Center is conducting market research to determine if any manufacturing facilities/vendors are available to manufacture and assemble the following SAR Bins and attaching Cargo Pallets: Nomenclature: SAR Bin National Stock Number: 1560-01-HS3-2282 Part Number: 405-525-8 Drawing Number: 405-525-8 (Attachment 1) Manufacturer: Aviation Logistics Center Nomenclature: Pallet, Cargo, Attaching National Stock Number: 1560-01-HS3-2282 Part Number: 405-553-6; make from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) Part Number 11-1-2780-1, Type V, 8FT, NSN 1670-01-530-0984 Drawing Number: 405-553-6 (Attachment 2) Manufacturer: Aviation Logistics Center Responses to this notice should include company name, address, and telephone number, point of contact (POC), manufacturing capabilities, certifications, and etc. which will allow the USCG to understand your full capabilities.� Also, provide a copy of the cover page of the manual or manuals that govern your companies� certification requirements for welding and assembly that you intend to use in the manufacturing of these items. Any interested source MUST be registered in System for Award Management (SAM). Please respond to the following questions: Please provide a synopsis of manufacture capabilities along with required certifications. Please indicate approximate lead time for the manufacture of SAR bins and Cargo pallets. Is your business a large or small business and how many employees? What North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code does your company use for this type of service? If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emergent business, or a small disadvantaged business? If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? Is your firm a certified ""Hub zone"" firm? Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned? Are your services listed on a GSA schedule? Do you have other government agencies using your manufacturing facilities, and if so which agencies, provide POC�s and contract numbers. � After the review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the manufacturing of the SAR Bins, a solicitation announcement will be published in Beta.Sam.Gov. �Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. �All interested offers will have to respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this sources sought synopsis. �Again, this is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract.�� All companies that can meet the specification are encouraged to provide a capability statement, company literature, brochures, or any other information that demonstrates that the specification can be met. �Firms responding to this announcement that fail to provide all of the required information cannot be used to help the Government make the appropriate contract decisions which is the intent of this sources sought notice. �This notice is to help the USCG in determining potential sources only. �All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. �All interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. �Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offers list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. �Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests.
