Description

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego (SWRMC) intends to issue a sole source solicitation to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for direct removal and replacement of kitted parts on the SLAD (Part Number: 56W4-S100) for the USS Curtis Wilber�s to complete mission requirements such as pulling in and out of ports, deployment, training missions, under replenishment, and other at-sea operations. In addition, the listed part is designed by a limited suppliers (LAKE SHORE SYSTEMS, INC.) for the SLAD. The required part must be replaced with the same exact material previously used and must have the same function capability as the part previously attached to the component. In addition, the replacement part must be compatible in all aspects to form, fit, and function with the existing equipment is designed by the OEM. Furthermore, the system designed specifically states the replacement part must be in accordance with the NAVSEA'S DWG, and NAVSEA TECH MANUALS. It is crucial to obtain this specific part to ensure the system component functions properly, that all replacement parts fit the installation pieces, and allow for system to run efficiently. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements IAW FAR 6.302-1(c). The resulting award will be a Single Award, Firm Fixed Price contract. The applicable NAICS will be ""336611"" Business size:�1250 (millions of dollars). This presolicitation notice is not an invitation for proposals from offerors. This special notice of intent is neither a request nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received within 15 days after date of publication of this special notice will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clean and concise documentation indicating a vendor's bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Requests must include company name, address, telephone number of the requester, e-mail address, CAGE code and business size. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided. All information shall be delivered via e-mail to Alexander Gordon, at alexander.m.gordon@navy.mil and Rod Rioveros at roderick.rioveros@navy.mil, no later than 1100 AM PST, February 1, 2021. Information delivered by other than e-mail will not be accepted.
