Description
Sources Sought Notice Portable 6DoF Laser Measurement System. � This announcement should not be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Request For Information (RFI). THIS IS NOT A RFP AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A RFP.� This RFI release is for U.S. Government planning purposes only and constitute requests for exchange of information pursuant to FAR 15.201. � Request for Information (RFI) The US Army, Armament Center (DEVCOM AC) at Picatinny Arsenal NJ, is conducting a market survey to identify sources/vendors capable of supplying commercially available laser tracking systems for taking dynamic high accuracy 6 Degree of Freedom (6DoF) measurements with the criteria noted below. The Government is seeking to procure a Laser Tracker as a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) item similar in form, function and accessory compatibility to meet the criteria below. � REQUIREMENTS: Basic specifications: Shall be certified in accordance with ASME B89.4.19 or ISO 10360-10 Shall be calibrated in a ISO 17025 accredited laboratory Shall have an integrated absolute distance meter Shall have the ability to provide 6DoF measurements (roll, pitch, yaw, x,y,z) of a moving target Shall have a maximum 3D and 6DoF coordinate measurement range of at least 10 meters using a Spherical Mirror Reflector (SMR) and a 6DoF target. Shall have a minimum 3D coordinate measurement range of at most 0.1 meters using a SMR target. Shall have the option for battery power, eliminating the need for continuous wall power. Shall be classified as either a Class 1 or Class 2 laser in accordance with IEC 60825-1 Shall have an Ingress Protection IP52 per IEC 60529 or better Shall have a data output rate of at least 1,000 points per second. Shall have the ability to lock onto and track moving targets Shall have the ability to quickly find and relock on targets when the laser beam is interrupted. Shall have connect to the host computer via Ethernet Shall operate under all lighting conditions (complete darkness to bright sunlight) Shall have versatile mounting, allowing it to be mounted on a variety of stands in many configurations including vertically, horizontally, upside down, or even at an angle to fit in tight, confined areas. Shall have 360 degree infinite horizontal rotation envelope Shall have a minimum of 130 degrees of vertical rotation envelope Shall hold calibration in the following environmental conditions Altitude: -700 to 5500m Humidity:� 0% to 95% non-condensing Operating Temperature:� 0�C to 40�C Shall exceed the following accuracies: Inclination sensor +/- 2 arcseconds Angular Accuracy Max Permissible Error (MPE) at 10 meters +/-75 um Length measurement (MPE) at 10 meters +/- 106 um In Line Distance Measurement (MPE) at 10m meters +/-22um The 6DoF Target shall exceed the following measurement limits: Pitch rotation angle +/- 45degrees Yaw rotation angle +/- 45 degrees Roll rotation angle 360 degrees infinite. Weight less than 1.5 kg Tracking speeds of 1 meter/second The Laser Tracker with a 6DoF target shall provide the following accuracies (MPE) Rotation angles: 0.01 degrees Position at 10 meters +/-75 um Time Stamp: 5 us The Laser Tracker software shall have the ability to export the 6DoF data to a data file for post processing in Matlab Included accessories: All required cabling Tripod with leveling feet Magnetic base mount Battery backup SMR kits for a variety of measuring scenarios 6DoF target Software for the host machine to operate the laser tracker and collect/export the data. Request your company provide responses to the following questionnaire: 1. Does your company have a system available that can meet the above requirements?� If yes, please provide description of your system. Please specifically highlight any individual technical requirement that creates a significant challenge for your company to meet. 2. What is your commercial price for the above system and accessories?� Any pricing data should be sent, if available, and at no cost to the U.S. Government. ROM data is acceptable. Please include any maintenance the company offers. 3. Do test reports exist that demonstrate your system meets the above requirements? If so, please include them in your response. 4. Are you able to supply documented ability of your company�s system to function reliably? If so, please provide that with your response. 5. Describe your company�s history and experience with supplying this or similar systems including the total number supplied to date. 6. Are the systems currently in stock and available for immediate delivery? 7. If your system is not currently in stock, when would the systems be available for delivery? Also please provide the following company information: Company Name. Company Address. Company point of contact, phone number and email address. Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. Identify if the business is considered a small or large business, based on the NAICS Code. Also, if a small business, please indicate any socio-economic subcategory your company falls under.
