Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded an Order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00019-16-G-0006 to General Atomics (GA), San Diego, California (CA) for product support of the EMALS and AAG systems. Services procured include engineering and logistics support needed for the In-Service Support phase of the EMALS and AAG systems aboard the FORD Class Aircraft Carriers. Services also include the establishment of a long-term Product Support and Sustainment strategy for the EMALS and AAG systems of the FORD Class by providing in-service engineering, configuration management support, direct technical support, logistics product supportability analysis updates and management, program planning support to the FORD Class and the Fleet Support Team, and other associated support as required. GA is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the EMALS and AAG. GA is the only company that has the ability, resources, technology, and documentation necessary to develop, produce, maintain, and support this system without causing unacceptable delays in meeting the Navy�s operational requirements. Accordingly, GA is the only known qualified, responsible source that can fulfill the requirements specified herein. The awarded Order is for the supplies or services for which the Government solicited and negotiated with only one source under the authority of Title 10, U.S. Code 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, �Only One Responsible Source�, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
