Description
Purpose The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) on Multicast Service is to determine what products, if any, are available in the marketplace that can meet the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AOUSC) requirements to provide multicast services that optimize MS Teams Live Event & Streams when pushing out content across the Judiciarys internal wide area network. Please see the attachment for a list of required salient characteristics. This RFI is part of the market research process and is not a solicitation. NOTE: This is not for a general-purpose multicast product; it is to specifically provide multicast when using MS Teams Live Event & Streams. The AOUSC looking to optimize MS Teams Live Event & Streams when pushing out content acrossitsinternal wide area network. Background The AOUSC is looking to use Microsoft Live Event and Microsoft Stream for large nationwide streaming across our enterprise Wide Area Network (WAN). The events may include over 2,500 participants. Unicast streaming to each individual participant would overwhelm WAN the bandwidth of our network connections at our courthouse locations. Multicast would allow the one stream to be delivered to each courthouse building and allow the building LAN to distribute the content to the endpoints. Instructions for submitting Request For Information (RFI) response The Contractor shall provide the following information: Technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to demonstrate how the offered product meets the mandatory requirement as outlined in the Multicast Reqs Tab on the attached excel spreadsheet. Supporting documentation, which may include product literature, white paper(s), specification sheet(s), installation guide and/or admin guide, and any other relevant information needed to support the mandatory requirement. The contractor shall fill out the ""Multicast Reqs"" Tab and respond to the ""Questions to Industry"" Tab on the attached excel spreadsheet. Document title and page number for each requirement listed under Multicast Reqs Tab. The Multicast Integration Technical responses to the requirements shall not exceed 25 pages. 11pt. Times new Roman Font on 8 x 11 standard paper, with 1 margins. No Hyperlinks will be acknowledged or accepted.
