Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY�- Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for a vocational HVAC diploma program and Vocational Training Program accreditation services for the inmate population of Federal Correction Institution (FCI) Jesup, Georgia, which will also include services at the Federal Satellite Low facility at FCI Jesup. The NAICS Code is 611210 (Size Standard: $22.0 million). All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State policies and regulations. The contractor will provide services in accordance with the Statement of Work. The courses shall be instructed utilizing one (1) hour sessions of classroom instruction, with an estimated number of thirty (30) instruction sessions per week, per location, for a total of 60 sessions per week. Typically, the contractor will provide services Monday through Friday (excluding Federal holidays), from 8:00 am -11:00 am and from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch break between instructional periods. Other days/hours may be implemented if necessary to meet program requirements, and these days/hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the institution. Any breaks in service, including lunch breaks, will be unpaid. (Specific dates for the classes will be determined by the Supervisor of Education and the contractor.) Estimated annual sessions are approximately 1,500 sessions per location, per 12-month performance period, for a total of 3,000 sessions. The sessions are on a requirements basis; therefore, schedule and sessions can change. Registration fees, tuition, lab fees, test preparation, and any incidental fees, will be included in the contract price, including textbooks, and all other classroom materials. The Contract will only be awarded to a post-secondary institution, vocational technical school, or industry based school who will be responsible for providing instruction leading to an industry recognized diploma in the field of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). The Government contemplates awarding a requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the forthcoming solicitation. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The solicitation will be made available February 2021 and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at beta.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
